Olivia Rodrigo is an actress and singer. She just turned 18 and got famous through Disney. Her song Driver’s Licence broke records and currently has 225 million views, she was just 17 when it came out. Many fans speculate that the song Drivers licence was about her co-star Joshua Basset and his new girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter. Sabrina carpenter then came out with her song Skin which was later conformed was about Olivia. In April Olivia released her second single Deja Vu, this brought Olivia even more attention – by now people were big fans of hers already. After Deja Vu came out she announced that her debut album SOUR would come out on 21st may.
On the 14th May, one week before her debut album was meant to come out she released (my personal favourite) good4u. When SOUR came out it broke the all time UK record for the most weekly streams for a debut album, the album received 45.7 million streams in its opening week. Olivia writes different styles of songs which is another reason people like her as there’s a song for everyone in her album. Olivia has been open about how big of a Taylor Swift fan she is and so everyone went crazy when Olivia posted a photo of the two at the Brits awards
